Molly never saw the world, but she felt its cruelty with every breath. Born blind into a family that valued beauty above all else, she was the unwanted shadow. Her two sisters, Emma and Sophie, were admired for their striking eyes and graceful figures, while Molly was treated as a burden, a shameful secret hidden behind closed doors. «Now she’s your problem,» he muttered before walking away without a glance.

He knelt before her, clasping her hands. «I never meant to deceive you.» His pulse raced. «Im not a beggar. Im the son of an earl.»
